The Vow.

Caught The Vow yesterday with Janice :{ We actually traveled really far to watch Hunger Games but for some cheapo reason, we decided not to. Okay so Oscar gave me two free tickets for the movie since he already watched it. It's can only be used at one specific "type?" of cinema so we had to travel for about 40 minutes to go there which is by the way, really far distance considering where I live in. But, the tickets could not be used because some genius [obviously me] did not read the fine print which says that it CANNOT be used on a public holiday eve & since today is Good Friday, yesterday was naturally & very obviously a public holiday eve. So in the end we decided not to make our trip wasted by catching The Vow. And in the end we still had to run to another theatre which is 10 minutes away for better timing. The movie started at 5:45 and we bought the tickets at 5:42. Hehe, talk about last minute. So anyway, on to the movie, it was okay I guess.

I mean I never did read the book but I had higher expectations for it especially since so many people were talking about it. But it did not live up to my expectations. I mean it was pretty touching to see how in love they were but I just don't like the plot I guess. I like happy endings & this one had a happy ending but just now as happy as I wanted it to be. She did end up back with him but she never did regain her memory. I would die if I was the guy. All those memories, gone just like that. A memory is what that shapes out lives, we're nothing without it. Can you imagine waking up one day and not remembering the face of the person you once loved so much and held so dearly to your heart? Or worst, imagine your husband/ wife not knowing who you are at all. Treating you like a stranger, after all the intimate moments you once shared. It's so painful. And I don't think I can make someone fall in love with me... twice. It's just I can never relate to it. Especially after seeing how different she is before & after her accident. However since it is based on a true story, kudos the people who inspired it. I take my hats to you both, seriously. And the vow that they actually made makes me want to come up with my own vow for my wedding too instead of the normal one.

Her: I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Him: I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.  I vow to love you, and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other.

And here is a picture of the poster so you can check Rachel McAdams out. She is so gorgeous! She's the reason why I wanted to watch this movie as well.

P.S I swear the main message of the movie is to tell you not to have sex in a car in the middle of the road. And I can't wait to watch Hunger Games! Finished book 2 and now I'm dying to get book 3.
